Mr Ngeleja is a seasoned politician, lawyer and an advocate of the High Court for over 24 years. Prior to joining Cravason he was a Co-Founder and Partner at Legal Clinic Advocates, a Law Firm that was founded in the year 2000, a firm which later merged with Cravason & Associates.
Mr Ngeleja has served as an elected Member of Parliament for Sengerema Constituency for 15 years consecutively (2005 – 2020); served as Deputy Minister for the Ministry of Energy and Minerals for 1 year; served as full Cabinet Minister for the Ministry of Energy and Minerals for 5 years; served as Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee responsible for Constitution, Laws and Administration; served as Vice Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee responsible for Subsidiary Legislations; and served as Chairman of the Parliamentary (Bunge) Sports Club.
Prior to joining active politics, Mr Ngeleja was an employee and worked, as a Lawyer/Legal Consultant, at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) for almost 6 years from January 1995 to August, 2000. He was Head of Legal Section by the time he left PwC. For the period between August, 2000 and October, 2005 Mr Ngeleja worked for Vodacom Tanzania Ltd, where he was Manager for Legal and Regulatory Affairs.
Mr Ngeleja holds both Master of Laws (LL.M) and Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) degrees from University of Dar es Salaam, where he graduated in 1999 and 1994 respectively. Mr Ngeleja also holds a Certificate in Telecommunication Policy, Regulation and Management from University of Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, South Africa, where he graduated in 2001.
